Cromwell is a hub for cycling, and the Lake Dunstan Trail is a favourite for good reason. Beautiful lake views, dramatic rocky sections, and plenty of photo stops.
If you’re not keen on a long ride, just choose a shorter out-and-back section. It’s still enough to get the scenery and the “we did it” feeling.

How long should I allow?
Most guests treat it as a feature outing during their Cromwell stay. Our standard winery tour is a full day experience running from 10am to 4pm and allow up to 30 mins either side for pick-up and drop-off’s.
Do I need to book ahead during rally week?
Strongly recommended. Late March in Cromwell is a popular time, and the NZMCA rally brings a lot of visitors into town.
